Mackworths Diner 22nd April 2007

The good weather brought a eleven Club Members out to enjoy the great breakfast that's served at Mackworths and I suspect that venue will become a popular and regular meeting place for those within reach - Spot even rode down from Sheffield for the morning.

Those of you that were at Killala last year will know that Susan somehow decided that I looked like Danger Mouse and she presented me with a Danger Mouse T shirt so when you see me wearing it at Keldy you'll know what it's all about - I won't mention which character she reckoned Steve looked like......

Stratford Meet 18th March 2007

I don't have a report on this but it looks like all had an enjoyable day in the sunshine despite getting caught in the snow on the way home.

Only six turned up for this meet on a nice sunny day but it was probably just as well 'cos the car park was crammed with cars for a couple of events. An enjoyable 3 hours chatting and scoffing bacon butties tho....was good to see some new faces too. I think everyone had an enjoyable time anyway.

This meeting was arranged so that Forum member, Alf, from Holland could put faces to some of the names from the forum while he was here on holiday. It was good to see one of the Forum's International visitors taking the trouble to meet with us all and maybe one day he'll join the Club and organise an event in Holland for us....

I never quite managed to get a head count of those there but I think it was around 12 - 14 - not a bad turnout. One or two went around the Museum but most just availed themselves of the cafeteria for lunch and a natter - if we go there regularly, we must persuade them to improve the coffee though.....
